Got an Xtec 6000k 9006 bulbs. Bought it off a guy on ebay for $190. I put a double-sided tape and mounted the ballast under neath the stock headlights one.

Light is much bluer than stock so now I need to get a 6000k d2r for my headlights to match the fog.

It is all about the same price, what are you looking for or you just want to see what everyone has?

8000k blue
6000k looks white for the most part with a hint of purple hue
4300k stock bulbs white
3000k yellowish never seen it in person

it seems most ppl say mcculloch suck but there are those that have had no problems with them.

are you looking to spend a certain amount of money? or you want used or new?

I just want to see what everybody has. I tried to look on ebay for Philips or Hella system but only a guy who is selling it for $469. I also came across $320 but only Philips ballasts and Japanese bulbs.

the new philips kits are expensive. what i usually do is check forums or ebay for used sets. i even get it seperate, find a good deal on a set of used hella or philips ballast or new then get a new set of bulbs for 4300K philips 9006 it is like $100.

ballasts used can go for $150 or so to $200 where $200 should really be slightly used like a couple of months?

That's a good idea to seperate the set. I'll try it sometimes. Thank you, Bxscig.

fog light mod

If some of you have pictures of wiring diagrams of where you installed your ballasts and how you routed the whole hid fog light mod, etc, that'd be much appreciated

I just bought CATZ HID 4300k 9006 hid lights, and I wanted to install them on my 2ndgen TL, just didn't wanna start the install until I was 100% ready. If some of you can just give me some hints/tips/instructions on where you installed parts and what to look out for, I might just install them tomorrow

Would be much appreciated

TechOne 8000K, simple plug and play installation. 290 shipped brand new, one ballast went bad, replaced under warranty. I love them... although cops seem to love them, too. They attract a lot of attention and cops shoot radar at me... bright HID foglights = reckless speeder, I guess.

Pretty easy. I just put my car up on ramps and worked from underneath. No need to pull off your bumper. Just had to peel back some of the liner to access the bulb.

I put my HID ballast underneath stock one. There's a shelf that will fit the ballast nicely. I secured the ballasts w/ some double sided tape. Otherwise, everything is plug and play.

I placed my ballast like tweedle right under the stock ballast on the headlights. There is just enough space on that little ledge and used zipties/cable ties. I had a custom relay harness and ran that thru the metal beam right behind the bumper.

A lot of people hook up the hid kits plug-n-play into the stock fog harness because it is the easiest. I always have suggested against it only because over time the wires will be burned and it will start having problems.

There is 150Ws or so of power going thru those tiny wires for a few seconds during the startup, which is 3 times more so than expected from factory bulbs. If you hook up the hid kits via a thru a relay sysyetm with higher gauge you will

1. No flicker on the HID startup or trouble starting up
2. No flickering when on like when the wires are starting to burn out
3. Fuse to protect ballast
4. Peace of mind

Also, if you do the fog light mod and they are hooked up to your parking lights.... I woudnt leave them on and unlock your car, otherwise they will blink with the parking lights when the headlights are not on. If the fogs are off, they you will have no issues with this when unlocking or locking.

I have it done differently so I wont get this problem.
