which is the xentec kit.

from what i am reading they might suck but i already have them opened AND the bumpers and lights off my 2003 TL

i have tried to navigate this site looking for one, but no one seems to be using a similar cut where you have to splice into the wiring.

can someone point me in the right direction to a thread or help me with the search function?

Hey Schwag, maybe this might help ya with searching this particular forum { Second Generation (1999-2003) }. When you enter the 2nd gen forum, look up near the top right hand side and you'll see a "search" feature for this specific forum. Just type in "HID" and you should come up with plenty of previous threads of similar topic interest. Plenty of reading is available on the HID's.

Also, check the "DIY" sticky which is located near the top of the 2nd gen's forum. It also has some very useful info to check out. Good luck and happy navigating !!!!

D2R has a different lower CLIP (On the opposite side) you must drill somehow the same hole in your D2S bulb to fit in to the Housing.

cut the 2 wires at connector to ballast
use new connectors- inline or male/female
there is a diy in the main thread area,,hid clean installl..was part of title

 

that thread I was thinking of- turns out its right below this thread on main gen2 page!!

make sure the external wire on bulb is in same place as when removed
as in - on the bottem
