Help requested with motor mount problem

After spending $800 to get my rear main seal replaced and oil pan resealed, I discovered that the bracket (part #10 on the following link)was not placed on the front motor mount (part #3) correctly. I don't have a camera but basically instead of placing the opening of the front mount onto the threaded portion and securing it with the nut (part #29), the bracket was just placed behind the threaded part.

Should I take it back to the shop and see if they will fix it or is it not a big deal? Thanks for any input and advice.

I know a picture would be much easier than this lengthy explanation and will try to borrow a friends camera soon if this is too confusing

Should be a no-brainer. If you're confident they didn't do something correctly, assert yourself.

dude, you paid them $800 to replace the seal and to seal your oil pan, in essence they didn't put everything back together like it was suppose to be. so you have the right to go back and explain to them your problem and they should seek the fix of the bracket free of charge without any hassle because you alone are a customer to them.

if you think you can do it yourself then try it but i wouldn't bother if spent the $800 yourself to let them fix it. they should put everything back together like it was when the tl arrived to them at the beginning.

Thanks for the second opinions guys I'll take it back and explain the problem and if they brush it off I'll be "assertive" as suggested. After this and having to spend $3000 to have my tranny rebuilt a few months ago I've decided to name my acura after my x-girlfriend. . .gives a great ride but takes all my money

sometimes things happen -sounds like a tech that doesnt do a lot of acura work and installed the part wrong
got to be careful where you take your baby

Things happen- its called a `Come-Back` in the biz and no sweat to have it done right
You paid for it - just dont be a pita/jerk-
show parts diagram and the car to the shop manager- it will get fixed

Brought it back and they took care of it on the spot and were cool about it. Don't know if it was really a problem but it's a load off my mind. Thanks

anything not back where it was when they started is WRONG and a problem

write a thank you note to the manager for taking care of it so nicely-(they take heat for techs mistakes everyday)
they will mount it on the wall!
