Help with performance decisions

So I bought this 99 TL, and i have notice that there is some aftermarket support but not all that much. Im trying to decide where i want to start...I think im gonna go supercharged for forced induction. I heard Comptech(spelling?) makes a decent supercharger. But i dont really know anyone who has used it. Then I figure headers, exhaust, all that shit, so any recommendations on a good full exhaust? Nothing that makes my shit sound like a fart can. So any help would be appreciated, any input to what any of you have done, or different routs would be awesome also....dont worry, the fuzzy dice and retarded 3 tier spoiler will come soon after Oda Le Weyyy

Probably should start with an intake. Then get the full I/H/E/P setup.

After that, consider FI. Since there's no easy way to tune, FI isn't the best option for us.

Instead of F/I I would recommend to start with a J32A2 Swap.. The Stock Motor cant do any miracles but you can Expect some serious gains when working with the Type-S Motor.

Actually if your going to swap the motor might as well go for a 3.5 since there not much more. The torque will make more worth while. Nearly a lb ft torque increase from a tl-p engine.

No you just have to get a mdx motor and drop it in. You don't have to build although you can

Almost you want the j35a3 but yes the complete j35 motor. It has headers and forged internals. It also has the most horsepower and torque out of the engines that have headers. It also has dual stage intake manifold and I beleive it is the same as the type s

What engines do not have the headers?
And how does that even work?

They stopped having headers on the second gen tl, 01-02 Acura mdx, 03-04 Honda pilot. Everything newer has them cast into the block. All you can do is precat deletes and a j pipe.

Instead of Being 2 Separate Things the Head and the Header is now Casted into the Head! so You got the heads but with the Y already made so you can only replace the J-Pipe and Pre-Cat Deletes.

Here is a Pic:
