Help a newb get another 100K
All right, so I've read through about two dozen posts, and while I've picked up a TON of useful information I'm still somewhat up in the air on what to pick up. Let me lay down my situation. I have a '99 TL with 103K on it. I bought it in '99, and the only major issues I've had with the car since then are warped rotors, the standard recalls, and I had to have the solenoids replaced about a month ago. No tranny issues thus far, knkock on wood, but other then that the only real issue I'm having now is the car shuts off on me periodically when driving. thanks to this place I've figured out it's most likely the ignition switch which I've ordered the recplacement for, and should have fixed this week. (yes I had the original recall done, and yes I grabbed part # -305 THANKS FOR THE TIP!!)
Anyways, since I paid cash for the car, and have no payments I want to drive her until the wheels fall off, and obviously @ 100K miles it's time to start replacing a few things. I am not looking to take this to the track, or to show it, but I am somewhat of an aggressive driver. My commute to work is about 60 miles round trip in Norther VA traffic, so there is some heavy stopping at times. MY mpg right now isn't too bad, but it isn't what it once was. I'm gettin probably 23/g. I'm going to be replacing the spark plugs, timing belt and water pump soon. Also getting ready to run sea foam through it for the first time (def excited about from the DIY post). I want to pick up some new brakes and rotors as my steering wheel shakes when braking @ times. and I'm thinkin about throwing some KYB-GR2 struts on it just to sweeten the ride after 103K miles of abuse. All the normal maintance has been done, and I'm going to have the tranny flushed again @ 105K just because it's feeling a little off lately.
So with all that said I'd like some thoughts on aftermarket products I should by to fit my needs. My budget (installation and product) is 2K, but I'd like to stay @ under 1500. my buddy owns the body shop I use, so he doesn't drill me on labor. below are links to what I am debating buying, but I want some opinions. I don't know if I really need rear rotors, but I figured I might as well get them since the last time my brakes were touched were @ 75K miles, and the rotors were resurfaced. Let me know what y'all think, and def add anything if you think there's a need. thanks fellas

Traded in my
I dunno how much your willin to spend on just brakes but if you are having warping issues and you drive in traffic a lot, then I would go with somethin different for your rotor/pad combo. I just got my EBC Redstuff pads and I'm waitin on my check to order the Rotora X-drilled/slotted rotors..pretty spendy but I figure: OEM got me 150K miles and warped rotors, awesome upgrade should get me the same if not more. So I'm willin to spend the money. Especially if it means more stopping power too. Def don't wanna "cheap out" on one of the most important safety components of the car.
If I get em installed before you go through with ordering everything, I'll let you know how my combo is workin out.

I would recommending getting a timing belt kit that also included the hydraulic adjuster and idler in addition to the parts mentioned in your example above . Peace of mind .

You can start buy doing the timming belt and water pump, clean out your EGR port , the 99 tl were well known for clogged EGR ports... I also did my shock recently at 160k miles on my 2001 cl-s. I was gonna go with tockio blues they where like $340-$360 shipped but ended up finding a whole B@G suspention setup for $440 shipped for springs and shocks that lowered the car 1.6 inches but kept the ride feeling stock but looking and handling better. You might wanna also look into changing the sway bar front and rear bushings, maybee polyurethane? Also might wanna look into sway bar links I got MOOG there greaseable and alot beeefier then the stock ones.. Flush you coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and your tranny fluid (If u have been some people say if u havent done it all-ready and kept on top of it then do not do it now after 100K)
Rock auto has some brembo blanks for like $70 each for your rotors..

ask if the EGR port recall was ever done- they clean it and install a smooth boreliner, doesnt cure the prob but helps
