If your only doing the center "wing" you don't really have to take the whole grille off..just open the hood and look behind the grille..there will be screws holding the wing on..just un screw them and it comes right off..

start with 180 grit and work your way up using finer and finer grit sand paper until it is smooth..then paint

if you're unsure, you can always plasti-dip it.
Just mask off the car and spray away. It peels off so any overspray is easily removed

I had it blacked out, and then went back to silver.

the blacked out A surprisingly looks ok, but unless your rear badges are blacked out too it looks out of place. (check my avatar pic, verses some newer one)

and I used Perfect Match to paint my grill

You shouldn't black it out, you should paint it body color

Well with black rims black tail lights and if i black out my rear symbol i thought the black on white contrast would look good.

True. though perfect match and perfect clear does an admirable job of replicating Honda NBP

A perfect match would be using the actual body color and adjusting tint and how much reducer and adjusting layers and not just a "close" color. No such thing as perfect clear, some are better than others but clear all comes down to the painter and environment . (ive been painting for 20 years

oh I agree! haha, I was merely commenting on the paint "Perfect Match" by Duplicolor.

I didn't mean actually perfectly matching and clearing the grill. that would be ridiculously (as you've mentioned) difficult. probably easier to paint the whole car again than to get one trim piece to perfectly match the pain of a 10 year old car

You would be surprised on how easy it usually is, or how easy u can hide it with a little blending . Now red and silver on The other hand are a pain
