Many have tried, most have failed. Others have run into functional issues such as the ability to adjust/direct the beam pattern. There are no known DIY's on this board that I know of.
Do a search and you'll find pics....

I agree. What projectors are you thinking of using?

Whats up guys, here I am . Well ya as NJZpretty boy said i have an 02 with TSX projectors with BMW bixenon bezals and as lawia said its not easy. My friend who owns a local body shop showed me the roots and i basically had to work for 3 weeks on my headlights to properly aim and adjust them. Output is aeons better than the factory set up. I have had mine for about a year now and still look forward to driving at night with them on. Before the retrofit i use to have my fog lights on all the time and they carry HIDs too but trust me its just waste of money to put HIDs in your fog. I have spent a whole year on another board specifically for HID/retrofit etc and have learnt the ropes and since my first retro on my car i have done 7 more but only for people who are local, that way i can adjust the headlights. Retrofitting isnt easy because not only do you have to worry about horizontal and vertical aiming but also the rotational aim of the cut off line, if that gets left slightly crocked its going to drive you up the wall over period of time. I dont have a DIY because mostly its common sense, my set up is totally OEM looking i.e. it uses factory ballasts, the rear cover goes on clean and flush, there are no holes in the housing no bolts sticking out etc.

But time to move on, i will be getting rid of this set up and moving on to a better one soon, work on which is underway . I would not give out details but all you need to know is that its a $1500+ set up. I know i know some of you might think its just a waste of money, but trust me once you drive a car with projectors you would never go back to reflector set up.

Some pictures i took to show TSX headlights to a client.

The reflector set up takes D2R set up and the projector ones take D2S.

Greeneggsandham, yeah better projector/projectors .

Wow, looks like the idea I was gonna do. Was thinking about taking some projectors form a 330xi and putting em in mine. Makes me think twice about attempting a DIY now.
