HELP intake question

HELP intake question

HELP, why doesnt the tl-p cai fit in the tl-s? can it be modify to fit? does anyone know exactly why it doesnt fit......man oh man let me know asap please!!!

I think maybe cause our throttle "opening" is 3" and the TL-P isn't.... Only way I see modding it fit would be to put a rubber tube connect from the throttle 3" to the pipe... I think....

I think the TLP intake is 2.75" pipe, and the TLS is 3"..

you may not get the "seal" that you are looking for to get the best flow.. not only that, the .25 inch diff in the pipe may be less airflow to the engine.

i knowthey have converters for that but anyways, it cant possibly be as restrictive as the stock one, and the reason i want it is cus of the vtec sound!!!

other than pipe size is there anything else thats different?

Have you ever seen a Xepher CAI?!? Well do a search on the cl boards and some of the members used the stock rubber that's connected to the throttle opening and @ the end of it they conneced the Xepher CAI...... maybe you can try something like this........

oh i trust you but i want to make sure that was all...or if there was outher like vacuume hoses and what not....

I know, I was kidding..... It's good that your doing the study's.... Must of saved alot, cause I know I wouldn't go through the trouble, I would just purchase Type S application.... How much was it?
