HELP?!?!? Have compustar and cant get remote start to work without factory going off

As the subject said, I have a compustar ss secuirity system and I have spent 2 months trying to get it to work, tried cutting the hood latch sensor, the arming sensor. And the shops that have worked on it are at a loss of what to do. The only other thing that they can think to do is to run a ground wire on the disarm of the factory so when the compustar is armed and thus also arms the factory system, the remote start when activated pulses the disarm on the factory first and keeps the factory from triggering.

Do any of you have this system, have this work, and know what I can do to right this. Or at the very least have the number to the place you had install your system on the car that got it to work so that I can contact them and resolve this, the dealerships are idiots and have no time to help me and I'm tiring of working on making this work. I really really could use some help right about now, thanx....

its simple.....you have to unlock before you start....there is a nice option compustar has for that which is the pulse unlock under menu 2 option 7 i believe look under the program modes....you use your remote to prgram it...pm me if you really need details

On my Viper 550ESP, I had the same problem. The only solution that worked was to ground out the factory alarm. The wire is in the drivers door, near the security light. It's a blue wire.

Thanks guys, now does the grouding out the wire on the car cause any error codes on the car to come up? Also on the grounding this doesnt unlock the doors on the car either or just makes it think they are but arent so it doesnt trip when starting?

Also, if this option doesnt work, on the option 7 and then 2, how are you programming this?

The last question since you guys know what is going on, how do you activate the feature with the auto lock when brake pedal is pressed, and unlock when turned off. And is there a way to make it so u can turn the headlights on with the system as it is?. . .

On my Clifford, hitting the remote start unlocks the door for a splitsecond and then relocks it. Maybe they need to program or do something to that effect as asiankidd mentioned.
