Okay this is not for me but my moms friends TL tranny died and they replaced it but she wants acura to take the car back. Is there any possible way that she can make acura take it back and either give her a new car or a refund? I told her I was part of this site and almost every question could be answered so thanks alot guys!!!

My dealer bought my .02 TL-S back at full retail price ($28k) at the time after the replacement tranny failed. That was when the car was 10 months old with 17k miles on it though. Also, it was not Acura who bought it back, but the Acura DEALER who sold it to me. You leave out a lot of details like the year of the car, whether it was bought new or used, how many miles are on it, etc.

 

if auto manufacturer bough back every car that had a problem they would go out of buisness. every car has its problems. my friend had 3 trannies go on his bmw 1 was under warranty, the other 2 he had to pay for him self. they all have problems
