I've installed the Rotora slotted and EBC green stuff for a while now, I would say 6 months at least and I noticed for a while now they they would squeal when I am braking lightly from 40mph to 30mph or 25mph. If I would to push a bit harder (with a slight jerk) then it would go away. I dont know what is going on. I tried the anti-squeal as well. I searched and saw a bunch of other people with the same setup with this issue.

I was able to deal with it in the winter since the windows are up but now since the windows are down, it annoys the shit out of me.

I bed them in and didnt brake hard during the first couple hundred miles... well maybe a couple of times since being in NYC it is hard not to sometimes.

Any suggestions?

 

try bedding them in? I never had any noise from mine.

 

Bedding them in again? I thought you do that when they were new, how would I go over the same process now? It is just for those speeds under light braking.

No your not supposed to do it when hey are new. Your supposed to be easy on them for atleastt 300+ miles. Then if you feel you need to then bed them in. Never right away

Did you put the anti-squeal on the backs of the pads?

 

I think the green stuff pads come with a black anti-sqeal "sticker" that goes onto the pad backplate. Did you remember to put this on the pads before installing them?

 

Yup, I used the anti-squeal Thought I didnt put enough the first time and I cleaned it off and put more this time with no avail.
