i replaced my stereo and now my dash, climate control and shifter light 'work. i have checked all fuses and even had a shop check the dimmer wires and everything and they couldnt find a problem. what could it be?

 

Behind the dash there are seven connectors, two on the left for the sunroof and cruise control and five on the right side for the lights and so on. I would start with making sure they are all connected, esp the five behind the center stack.

 

When you hooked up the stereo did it have a "Dimmer" wire? Double check your wiring and any thing you did.

 

Howcan I access the connectors? And my dimmer wire isn't the issue a shop already looked at that

 

i had the same problem but in my case i had a fuse out.. i replace it and still no dash lights or gear. i check the cables on the back of the dash and everythiung is plug right. ( note : i put the stock stereo back ) all gages work but just not lights.

 

Ive run into the same issue recently after doing my led cluster. There's some other people i know of with the same problem and no one has figured it out. My guess is that it may be an issue within the wire harness behind the dash.

 

mine went out too. thats why i did LED guages. ive replaced the dimmer switch and multiple connectors. its the wiring harness thats bad

 

so. what do you suggest i do?

the stereo in all connected correctly
