Most likely the IACV. Its located on the bottom of the throttle body and often gums up with carbon and causes the idle to fluctuate. Take it off and clean it out.

Idle Air Control Valve
located on the bottem side of the TB assembly- can get clogged when you run the fuel tank really low- or just on age it gets gunked up

is that somewhat and easy do it yourself.
also, if the car was sitting for 2 years what else would be needed, so far i flushed fluids and changed them, tranny, radiator, brakes, oil. i put a new battery in it, i got soem spark plugs and was goign to see if they were needed once we opened it up.
what are some other things that i could do here???

Yes its easy to do. 2 phillips screws hold it on.

The only thing that should be done is fluid changes, and look at the belts for cracking.

My car's RPMs were bouncing up and down today in park between 1-2k. Sounds like the IAVC is the problem. But does this happen when you have the car sit around for a while without driving? I haven't drove my car in about 2-3 weeks now. I started up the car and nothing was wrong and drove to the store like less than a mile away. I put it into park and then I noticed it was reving between 1-2k. After I buy stuff, I start the car and no problems, driving home and park and still no problems. Was the IAVC just stuck or does it need some cleaning? I do park outside everyday and it gets really foggy here at nights.

its been known to happen to those that sit for a while. It was probably just stuck slightly and after being driven for a bit it cleared it self up. I wouldnt worry about it.
