Helm Manual

Hey All,

I just received the Helm manual and must recommend it to everyone! It's absolutely awesome! Can't wait to start tearing it apart!

I was skimming it for wiring diagrams on the honk versus beep alarm lock issue. Looks like one of the leads on the control unit are not used in the 99 but is used in the 00-03. This lead attaches to the beeper. Is it as easy as installing that lead/beeper component? Or does something need to change in the control unit for this type of change?

Yeah, I'm willing to do some scans if you need any as well.

Actually I'll probably be buying it soon. I still have the Helm manual for my former Z06. It's 3 freaking books! Each with > 1,000 pages. I need to sell it as it's just collecting dust.

The help manual for our cars is just one book I believe.

I've actually got 2 Helm books for our TL.
When I ordered back in '02, there were 2 volumes for the body/engine - one was a 2002 supplement to the 1999-2001 manual - and then the third was an electical toubleshooting manual. I ordered the electrical troubleshooting one and waited on the other 2 volume set, hoping it would eventually be condensed into 1 (and hence cost less than ordering the 2 volumes). In early 2003 Helm came out with an "all in one" volume for the TL. However, in comparing the electrical section of the "all in one" volume against the separate electrical troubleshooting manual. I've noticed many parts of the electrical troubleshooting manual are missing from the "all in one" volume.
