I had mine replaced few weeks ago too. My dealer told me exact same thing, but they bought the parts from another dealership and was able to replace mine within 3 days.

I need to go check to see if mine work now. I never really noticed if my butt was warm or not.

It really doesn't matter that your heated seat doesn't work and you don't care. That doesn't help my situation at all. Plus a part that fails as often as this, there should be a lot of these elements in stock.

My question was are other people seeing a 6month backorder on this part as well?

Yeah, granted it's spring right now and it's not cold. But come fall/winter, everyone and their grandma's will be trying to get their heated seats fixed.

Damn your dealer has them in stock!? wth, i checked with 2 dealers out here...

Correct, I am in Cali, but it still gets cold here (for us at least)...plus acura didn't offer me a discount to NOT have heated seats in the car..kind of like saying "why does your car go past 65mph, if the speedlimit is 65?"

Besides, the car is driven mainly by my wife, so she likes the heated seat feature..

I know for a fact that my passenger side is working, and quite well also. My girl loves when the heated seat is on...she refers to it as "toasty"...anyways, my heated seats are both working, but I find that the driver side back is not too strong. the ass part heats up quite quicky, but the back takes a good 10 min to warm up, even when the car is warm.

whatever, my dealer could and will replace it once they die...I will let them know when it does.

I seem to use mine a lot, especially when it's fucking -35C up here!

My passenger side is working intermittenly. Since I am going to PAA tomorrow, I am going to ask them to take a look at it. I hope it's not on backorder.

Woohoo! dealer called me friday and said "the heated seat element came in.."

Scheduled to drop the car off saturday at 10am. Got a loaner car. Dealer called at 2pm to say the car was ready already! Awesome!

Got a '04 TSX w/ nav as the loaner car. Pretty nice car. I can see why the US accord was designed for the US market only and how the JDM accord became the TSX. That TSX has no rear passenger space at all. US consumers want a "bigger" family sedan. (just look at how big the accord and camry have gotten thru each generations' change) All in all however, the car drives very nice. That new nav screen is HUGE. But it sucks in the sunlight, lots of glare, unlike on the wife's TLS. I like the split screen nav feature however. Tooled around w/ the voice controls, pretty neat.
