Headunit removal???

Hey guys wassup!

I am trying to take out my headunit so i can put in a 02-03 unit in so i won't ever have to get annoyed by the unit not playing burn cd's. However, i am having problem taking it out. I have taken the wood trim on both side on the center out, i took about 6 screws out too. I got these two annoyass white tabs, i took out one with a lot of force, i am having a problem taking the one on the driverside out, has anyone taken their deck out? Fsttyms1 linked me a DIY, however the link is dead, any help would be GREAT!!!!

it's probably easier better explained by people other than me if you look it up in the audio forum, but those white tabs don't need to be removed (if i recall). on the 02-03 TL you have to remove screws from the side as well, so you will need to remove the trim panel along the sides of the console. there are screws behind the driver knee panel and the glove box i believe (haven't done it in a while). good luck.

i just did it this weekend. you have to take the knee panels off to access 3 screws on each side of the radio. there is a diy in the audio/video section that i used, it was perfect. use the one in the acura CL sections. it the same steps.
good luck, pm me if you have questions.

follow the diy for this:

www.ngumedia.com/Acura

you should be able to figure it out using the Denison icelink install guide. It shows how to take it out.
It should only take you about 20 mins, 30 tops to get it out. Just make sure you remember how the screws go back in.

SWEET!!!! Thanks for all the links and info, i love this fourm, everyone is so helpful!

Found out the hard way about the knee panel and the screws behind it, and YES those white tab has nothing to do with taking the unit out.
