Headlight Wiring Problem
Headlight Wiring Problem
hey all, need some help. ive searched around but cant find this specific problem, decided to throw it out to you guys
soo..... my driver side headlight has been out for like 9 months now, and i finally got around to trying to fix it (prbly has to do with inspection being this month
). anyway, pretty much it used to work, then after i turned on the car, it would flicker and die out. i fiddle around with the wire going to the ignitor assembly thingie, and it would turn on but usually shut off little later on. i had bought a used ballast and ignitor off a member here and had it hanging around, so today, we had a beautiful 70 degree day here in MA, and i had a few hours. to make things short, seems like the wire that comes from what i assume is the headlight on switch, and then separates behind the headlight to the high beams and low beams, somehow was spliced. more specifically, only the low beams one was. my high beams work fine. here a picture to help visualize.
my question is, whats my best bet for fixing this myself? i would have spliced the 2 ends but its way to close to the (female?) connector that hooks up to the wiring for the ignitor. thanks for the help
