headlight sealant?

headlight sealant?

For those of you that have cleared out your headlights yourselfs ... what did u use to seal them back up and how long has it help up w/o fogging up?

well i haven't done my acura yet but i used clear silicone(bought at walmart) on my 2002 dodge ram and it work great no fogging or leaks. Thats what i am going to use for my acura.

Well that makes sense ... if aquarium sealant can keep a 30gal tank from leaking i'm sure its perfect for headlights.

Aquarium sealant does not stick well to plastics. It sticks like crazy to glass. That's how the glue can hold 100 gallons or more tanks together. I have not done headlights before but I would try to find some seam sealant like they use at autobody shops. It's the similar tar they use to make the headlights and also glue sheetmetal seams together to make water tight.

If you want to stick with the aquarium glue get it cheap at Home Depot in the glue section (no pun intended).

What about the GE II Clear Silicone? I thought thas what ur suppose to use? Is that no good?
