Headlight not working question 03 TL

hey guys, the driver's side HID stopped working. There is water condensation in the lens so I have a couple of question's. Is the light not working because of the water? Should I test anything? If I replace the headlamp assembly does that involve changing out the ballast and igniter too? I have looked on ebay at headlamp assembly's for 79.99-113.00 and they simply state bulb not included (they don't say anything else about the HID unit or ballast or igniter). I work on cars a fair amount but have never messed with HID's at all. Please help Thanks in advance

ninaincy, why do you have condensation? Is it a leak or crack?
If it's a leak - just reseal your headlight and dry out ballast.
If drying out ballast won't help, you will need new one.
Try to swap them to make sure it's ballast issue.

ps: headlight assembly comes without lights or ballast/ignitors, etc

please see the many headlight threads on the main page and the Problems and Fixes section

the water dripping out of housing and onto the `non-waterproof ballast` eventually results in its failure
the price of aftermarket kits with new ballast- ignitor wire and new bulbs is so low (under 100$ total) as to be crazy not to replace all when you have the moisture issue
ck one of our sponsers www.hidextra.com for examples
