Headlight housing paint!!!

I need to know if you have to use High temp paint when paitning headlight housings. i just got all the supplies and was reading all the posts about it and one said use high temp paint help asap please i am trying to get this done today Thanks

I have read the DIY over and over and some people say high temp paint isnt required.

i've done atleast 5 sets of lights... never have i once TOUCHED high temp paint... well maybe twice only to move them out of the way to grab my other ones.... hehe

used NBP paint once..

so i finished them and kinda got sidetracked for a sec and totally melted one of them its all ok tho because i need to buy a new case for that side anyways because it was fogging up and had a scratch i will post up pics later i was pissed at first but now i think its pretty funny. the other one turned out pretty nice!! thanks for the input mhallon24, and jjashaa

looking forward to the pics..and how did it melt? you forgot you had it in the oven or did you put the temp too high?

i was about to say that its not necessary to have high heat because ive seen multiple colormatched housings on here and other boards.. now how long do they hold up?.. i dont know..

ya feel free to laugh but beware of 200+ in an oven for more then 5 mins lol i was pissed but now i cannot help but laugh so go ahead and laugh lol

dude honestly just be paitent 200 or under 2 mins then rip that thing out like it is your child or oysters (if you love oysters lol) and rip it open as fast as you can lol its not hard i was just gettin lazy .. as always every one was callin me to go surfin and i was trying to hurry up but i learned my lesson. lol

baking headlights not a turkey, if ur realy scared use a heat gun, but will take longer.

different ovens.. newer ones might be stronger.. olders might not...

different placement as in lowest rack.. or highest rack...

or maybe they accidentally did broil...
