Headlight Bulb upgrade
Good afternoon Folks,
I'm a new comer to this forum.
Just bought a 2003 Acura TL (Base model). I Want to upgrade the headlight Bulbs, both, high and low beam. I could not find any LED Bulbs for Low beam but there are plenty for high beam. I found these bulbs for low beam but they are not LED;
Any body knows a good LED bulb for low beam?
The other question I have is as how to replace them? It that difficult? I'm good with tools and do home mechanic things, etc. Is there any stepwise approach that you could share with me?
Thank you very kindly in advance

I do believe the low beams should be HID, and if so, you probably only need new bulbs to have them nice and bright again.
On our 2001 I wasn't satisfied with new bulbs and repolished stock housings, so I bought new housings. Now I need to swap everything out.

$30 HID's..., I mean you get what you pay for!!!
dont be surprised if the $30 HID's crap out on ya!!
Aftermarket LED's are not anywhere near close to being a competitor to a very nice OEM HID bulb, like Phillips.
it's def. your car and you can do whatever you would like to do to it, but with your proposed plans, it would be a serious downgrade to throw LEDs into the low beams. the $30 HID bulbs also would not cut it.
but if you would like to try, go right ahead!

I wasn't happy with the low beam headlights when I got the car, as they were both dimmer and one had an off color. I bought the OEM bulbs and it was a world of difference.
The high-beams are a serious disappointment being standard halogen bulbs, but I did end up buying new LED high beam bulbs, but have yet to put them in. I am hoping they at least compete with the HIDs in regards to color and output. If they do I will post which LEDs I purchased as they are the newer type that doesn't need an active fan to cool them. I figured it was a good choice seeing how little you run the high beams, and even if you do run them for a longer time it is somewhat infrequent or in cooler outdoor temps.

Good morning Folk,
Thank you for those replies.
My question is;
If I need to remove the front bumper in order to access the Headlight bulbs (Low and high Beam)? Or is there an easier way to do it?
Thank you

No, you do not need to remove the bumper to change high or low beam bulbs. You will need a security torx bit to remove the covers for the low beams. You may need to remove the coolant reservoir and possibly windshield washer fill tube for more room to get the bulbs out.
Just pop open your hood and look. Its right there.
