Has anyone tried towing a TL behind a motor home?
We've just bought our first motor home (37') and I'm encouraging my husband to consider a toad (a towed vehicle) for the MH. GREAT convenience if you can tow 4 wheels down and disconnect easily from the tow bar. The problem is that he says one of our Acura TLs (2001 and 2002 I think are the current ones) has to go if we get a tow vehicle. But I LOVE our TLs and want to keep them till they run into the ground. So does anyone know what we would have to do to modify either of the cars (automatic transmission) to let them be towed?
Thanks for your help.

You really need to go onto one of the motor home web sites to get definitive info. I am almost positive that a TL cannot be flat towed.
Every Motor Home I've ever seen has either a Jeep Wrangler or a Saturn being towed. There is a reason for this that relates to the transmission so do your reasearch.

as long as you are towing the rear wheels there shouldnt be a problem. My uncle has a motor home and he has a unit that tows his entire suv. The SUV doesnt touch the ground at all. When he is done, he realeases the ramps through a crank and drives it right off. That would be much better for the cars. It would let the car wear more evenly

there are restrictions, friedn had to sell his GS400 becasue he couldn't toe it with his motor home.
if you do flat toe with any car/truck, you'll also need to get some mods to turn the car/truck wheels as the motor home turns. otherwise you'll wear the tires funny
probably cheaper to by a trailer to toe the TL in then to get another car and mod it out. Running a car on and off a ramp isn't that tough.

I want to say I have seen a TL being towed by a MH one time, but I pass so many of those things, I forget.
I think you could get away with a front wheel trainler. I know U-haul may rent them, so check it out.

If you contact your MH dealer, I am sure they have a solution for you. I agree with some posts before. Personally, I will put the TL on a carrier, esp if you want your TL to last for a long time.
