I just got headers installed - OBX, I like the power a lot, but I have a slight hissing sound that other people have (unfortunately found the posts on the forum after I got them). I have done a lot of research and am thinking of getting a 55 shot ZEX wet kit next (then Unichip after possibly). I have done as much searching as I can on the forum and haven't found a single post of someone blowing their engine (or really messing it up) with NOS, but that is something I am a litte afraid of (anecdotal stories you hear from the street and such). Plus I have 45K left on my warranty and that would go out the window if I got NOS. Does anyone have any really bad stories about NOS? And I do know that people have brand preference and that input is much appreciated but I am more looking for any potential horror stories - I do love my baby and don't want to F it up If I don't hear anything bad, I'm gonna pull the trigger and GET IT! Thanks

 

well i had a nitrous on my car for over a year without any problems up until about 3 weeks ago. It was a zex kit and I switched back and forth from the 75shot and 100shot. Not a bad kit. It served its purpose when used.

 

NOS on a FWD Touring Luxury sedan?? ahh, OK.

 

Isn't the tranny the weak point rather than the engine? I'd worry about the tranny first.

 

Well I didn't have any problems with my tranny @ all while it was installed.

Thanks for the input - what happened three weeks ago? Did you just take it out or did you have any problems?

 

no problems...getting some new mods in a few weeks therefore the nitrous kit would be considered useless so I uninstalled it.

 

Is it forsale?

It has already been installed on my Type R. I was going to sell it but then changed my mind.
