Question Has anyone done "paintless dent repair" before?

I really wanna fix this ding on my hood and I was wondering if anyone has done this before...? If so, how were the results? How much did you spend? Thanks in advance for your inputs.

I had it done on my old car before I traded it in for the TL.
It was done on my 94 ACCORD I had a dent on the car about the size of a tennis ball. I don't know how it got there & the shock sensor I had would have tripped the alarm for sure with that impact. Theres was not any scratch to the paint just a dent.
Dent Wizard repaired it for about $70 & you could not notice there was a dent.

That sounds awesome! Do you know if this "Dent Wizard" place is around New York City area? Do they have a web-site? How did they exactly repair it? Did you get a chance to see while they worked on it? Thanks.

They are a national chain so here is the site www.dentwizard.com
I did not see how the repair was done but there are quite a few other places that do the same thing. I learned about them from my Honda dealership & went I into the actual area shop. The HONDA dealer would have them repair I guess new & used cars that had dents & dings.

I had a ding removed by Dent Solutions (the "s" in his logo is a greek Sigma). I might still have his card around somewhere. He does the work for White Plains, NY Mercedes Benz, amongst others. I can attest that he did a perfect job, although he was more expensive at about $135.

I called a few places in my area and appearantly, you have to make an appointment and they'll actually come to your house and do the job. I really wonder how this process works... and will it work...?????? Waiting for more opinions/advise on this. Thanks.

I just had five dents in my fender fixed this way - they are completely gone, and the paint is perfect. They were shallow dents yes, but gone. $195.

Had this done a few times on cars in the past. They have long, l-shaped rods that they place inside the door panel (sometimes they have to drill a small hole on the door edge where no one can see [it's plugged later]) and actually push the dent back out. If the guy is good, many times you can't even tell where it was. If the dent is creased bad, they won't be able to do it, or it might still show a little. I paid about $75 per panel.

I had this done 2 weeks ago at bimmerfest to remove 1 dent on rear right door and one 1 crease on the driver door.

Price was $100 for both. For the door they will have to drill a hole to get inside.

But the job was doen peferctly. I can not tell any difference. The door looks like fresh out of factory.

All the responses are very encouraging. I think I'll go ahead and do it. Finally found some guy in Long Island . . . and he wants $125 to $150, depending on the size... PER DENT. I think that's a little expensive. Better keep searching.

Lightbulb Twist A DENT

Hey guys check this out http://www.twistadent.com

It really does work. All the PDR techs use it for dents they can not reach with their regular tools.

I've seen that on TL comercial. I dont' think that'll work on small dings, though.

His name is Louis, you can reach him at 1-888-428-01990 (telephone), 914-952-9663 (pager). The "e" is actually the greek sigma not the "s" but no big deal. I had a ding removed by him and it looked great...I say looked b/c 2 days later someone nailed me right next to where the old one was, only this time they got me in the crease. Anyway I believe he charges by the panel. You can visit his website at www.dentsolution.com

When I picked up my used TL it had two small dents that were taken out using paintless dent removal. The guy slid a metal rod down through the window and smoothed out the dent. You can't even tell it was there. The cost was paid for by the dealership.
