i guess it's my battery going.. but can u confirm?

ya it sounds like the batt. 4-5 years is about right. IMHO I'd get the cheapest battery that meets OEM spec (cold cranking amps) I bet it would last just as long as a 100$ die hard.

yah I would probably go for a higher end battery. The difference in price is like 50 bux, and atleast you have piece of mind that it won't die on you soon. On top of which, the better battery will be able to run your aftermarket mods longer!!!

My 99's went out about a month ago...
Same scenario, weak but started....
I just put a regular Exide battery in it.....but I put
an Exide Orbital Select in my Trans Am and love it....

Last time this happened to my car, it was the alternator.
Ask a tech to check the Voltage/current level for both.
Replace it fast, my car was dead in the middle of traffic.

I'm going to get a yellow top before winter. My batt is still OEM and has been there for 4 full yrs. Time for a new one. Besides, I don't think it can power a dvd + 2 LCDs

I went out to the Optima web site and tried to see which battery would fit our cars. Here is the output from that site:
Please enter the following information about your car,
and find which OPTIMA is right for you.
ACURA
All Models
2003-1999 3.2TL
There are no matches available for this vehicle.
Reset
Any other good recommendations for batteries. I have my 99 and want to get it changed out before the winter hits hard. We already had the first frost this morning at Dulles Airport :-(

-if the engine turnes over quickly, but no start... its not the battery....
-If the engine drags it's a$$ at lower rpm's than usual... then yes, its the battery

My last car (94' Eagle Talon) would eat batteries about every 4 years no matter what kind it was. So Sears finally came up with a Die Hard Gold that had a 100 month warranty exchange with no pro-rating. I about jumped for joy beause when the next battery goes south they just give me a new one and I drive away paying nothing.

Dont jerk off with inexpensive batteries. I have been trying to get around payng 50-60 dollars for batteries and instead buying cheap ones. It is a waste of time and money. No matter what warranty comes with Wal-Marts finest line of batteries, you will find it really annoying to have to exchange them every 2 months. I tried cheaper parts store batteries and those fail too. THis was the case with my 89 stang, 90 civic, 92 accord, and every other car I have ever owned. I constantly replaced them under warranty. So spend $100+ on a good Optima or equivalent and you wont have a problem.
My 2 cents...
