im thinking of going out tomorrow and getting some gutter guard to make my own grill. the only thing is i want to keep the whole acura emblem with the things coming out of the side and not just the emblem itself. i havent seen any that have the whole thing and just see ones with only the emblem. is there any way i could keep the whole thing or can i only keep the emblem. any help with doing so instead of just a yes or no would help me out a lot because i dont really have much of an idea of how to do it. thanks

His had the emblem floating without the wings on both side of it, the OP want to do it with the whole front part still intact. I'd say just go buy a grille-tech grill insert from ebay or from the grill tech site for like $30 instead of using gutter guard.

 

Actually looks like grill tech doesn't make one for the 99 TL. Might have to experiment yourself with it, if you have good results report back with a DIY.
