Grinding in Reverse only

Grinding in Reverse only
Hi guys!
I searched but couldn't really find the answer I was looking for. Today I was backing out of a parking space and my transmission just started grinding. It only did this in reverse and drove fine all the way to work and back home. When I got home I tried it again, and still it only does this in reverse. I can probably live without reverse for a little while if necessary, but I'd like to get it fixed.
Any ideas?
BTW, '99 TL-P with 205k or so miles on original transmission as far as I know.
Thank you!

what fluid have you been using?
ck the magnetic drain plug for evidence of new metal
or send a 3 ounce sample to a lab like blackstone for analysis.
if there is anything bad happening the oil will show it
get the car put on a lift- it can be something besides trans
