Great Day at the track!!

I just came back from Orlando raceway where I competed in the Battle of the Imports". The temp was 82, no spare tire or jack and 1/8 tank of gas:

1st run: 2.166 60ft, 13.790 @ 102.63
2nd run: 2.233 60ft, 13.808 @ 102.82
last run: 2.106 60ft, 13.689 @ 102.56

This could possibly be the quickest TL yet?? At least it is the quickest run I've ever had in the 1/4 mile.:wow:

Yes, if all goes well there will be more boost....say 4-5 lbs. I have also ordered an intercooler for the car. Our goal is for a max of 9.5 lbs of intercooled boost. We're hoping to get the car in the mid-high 12s(12.7-12.9) range if not even faster. The tranny has helped out a great deal with the high stall converter and the LSD(it was put together by a local shop in Apopka, FL ). The shop said it can probably handle 450 HP. I'll be heading back to the track tonight(Wed 3-31) to see if I can better the 13.68. The temp is expected to be 20-25 degrees less then it was when I did the 13.6 run. I'll keep you guys posted.

Will you have to reduce compression to run at 9.5psi of intercooled boost?

That is some absolutely a$#kicking times. Good luck with sub 13's. It sounds like you will be the fastest TL out there.

I bet that CRX is really good lookin also......well Ive never seen a sweet CRX but maybe there is one, I just think its funny when people get $3000 rides and put hella $$$$ into them for the sole purpose of the 1/4 mile - when the ride itself is shitty. I mean if you have a M5 or something then sweet mod the hell out of it, but fart sounding 4 bangers make me laugh. eventhough they could spank my car - I still dont care

You're an idiot with an opinion, that's cool.

I could've spanked you with my TL and looked better. People that build 1/4 mile cars could care less about how it rides on the street, that's why they have other cars.

You're the mature one, you talk shit about other peoples rides, then when someone says something about you you freak out....like the phrase "eat a dick". Just chill out with your painted stock exhaust, new cupholders and your de-painted shift plate and all will be OK.

As long as we(Velocity Resources) intercool the car we should be able to run the stock compression with 9.5 max lbs. of boost. The car is in the shop and getting a thorough tranny inspection and hopefully be able to install some new carbon/graphite clutches. After the boost upgrade and intercooler it may net us another 80-100 HP to the wheels. Just as a reference, I've seen Ford lightning's- supercharged V-8 PU- running 13:6 to 13:8 on the same track in Orlando depending on driver etc.. So it is pretty awesome to not only keep up with but at times beat them and WRX, SRT-4, GTs,etc..
AS soon as I can I'll go back and do some night time runs when it is a little cooler. The 13:68 was during 82 degrees.
Have fun in your TL.
