SO as some of you know i was in an accident a few weeks ago. Well i got the ride back . I got the windshield tinted and all the other windows redone saturday so i got out today and washed, clay barred, and waxed my baby on up. I am getting it lowered within the next 2 weeks thatnks to a fellow AZINER for hooking me up with new suspension.

What % tailight tint is that? Rockblocker?

The taillights are painted with a product called Nightshades. It comes in an aerosal can and you just tape and paint. I took my lights out and had a guy that paints for a living do it for me. \\


The sides are 15% and the windshield is 20%(illegal in every state BTW) It is very hard for anyone to tell it is tinted drving down the road. i have had all my previous vehicles done and never had a problem. it is nice though i very rarely wear sunglasses anymore. At night when you first have it done it is interesting but you get used to it fast and love it. Well i do anyways

 

i was thinking about doing 5%on all windows and 50% on windshield. anyone knows how it would look?

 

50% would be a waste of money man. 5% on the sides will be okay but check with your laws and how the cops in your area are. you could easily go with 30% on the windshield and would love it. It is hard to find someone that will do it and do it good so it would suck to have it done and then wish you had gotten darker. you wont regret it.

 

well in my previous car i had limo on the side and smoke on the front windshield.... ArTL-S what color were your previous cars? remember this one is white Tinted Windows on a white car is more noticable than anything else

I have never owned anything but white vehicles. i am a sucker for how good they look when they are clean but you are right it would be less noticable on a black car for sure. Unless you rearend someone i dont see any cops ever noticing it at all.

I would go with 30% for sure. 50 would ne a waste of time and money unless that is just really what you want and then nothing is a waste bu i suggest 30%

when you say painted for a living what do you mean? like homes or cars or what? do you think it would be possible to do by myself? i was planning on paying the dealership 75 dollars for them to be done but if i can do it myself why not

 

another thing i have noticed is that it does not really look that shiny....like tint...i have pictures of a car that i am pretty sure is not that product...but it looks so much more shiny that the tl at the top and than the car that was showing off the actual product on another website...i just wanted to know if it was a different look and if i knew how to put pictures on here i would show you what i mean

 

the guy paints cars for a living and you are right they are not shiny. i dont know why i wanted them with a matte or flat finish but i like it. i am not sure what he did to get it like that though. if you want to know i can call him

 

i painted my tail with vht nightshade and it looks flat black. if u want a shinny color to it u have to clear coat it after.

 

I have also used the VHT Nite shades. Another method to get the nice deep gloss look. After you paint let it dry, come back and wet sand it down with 1500 grit. You will get a slight haze but don't worry you are sanding the paint not the plastic. When done hit it with some deep gloss and wax, will look as smooth as glass.

 

Looks good bro, I am a windshield tint lover too. Last 2 cars. My TL-S is 15% sides and rear, and 35% windshield. I love it. After 5 tint tickets, I have never once considered taking it off.

 

can one of u take a pic from the inside out looking through the windshield. im getting all my windows tinted 5%except for the windshield (still deciding if i want to do it 35%)

 

i will take a pic for you as soon as i get back to little rock and get it posted. If someone has a picture from the inside looking out on a non tinted window please post that so he can tell the difference. That pic will be up later today bud.

 

Here are a few pictures i took so you can see the difference and one from the inside with the doors closed. it makes a nice difference without causing any visibility issues. Let me know if you want any other pictures of it.

thx. i just got my front windows, rear windows, and rear window tinted to 5%. looks great. just got the windshield to do.
