I'm really concerned the impact f*d up my whole exhaust system, thats what probably caused my car to go up to 6000 rpm eventhough I had my foot slammed on the brakes and hit the car in front of me.

man for what it is its just a bumper. and i woulda thought the bumper would be all messed up.

as they say, that will just buff out...

but to tell you the truth if your not getting it fixed any time soon take a highspeed buffer with some compound and have at the rear bumper. it will mostlikley get ride of the marks and make it look green instead of crap. the scratches and stuff will still be there but atleast it will be green and black

hope her insurance takes care of it. if the exhaust is screwed up see if they will pay for a new one might as well milk it for whats it worth, also how bad was your front?

The front not bad at all from the looks at it just the license plate is dented. I will have them get underneath anyway just to make sure. I'm not gonna buff it out till I see them later on today. I was thinking the same thing, I almost went today to wash it and get it detailed but decided to wait till they come give me an estimate. I have an appointment in an hour with her insurance company to look at the car.

yea get them to look at it then take tons of pictures. then i would buff the hell out of it, i scraped a wall on the corner of my bumper and i buffed the hell out of it and it looks decent, needs some touchup paint and some wet sanding / buffing and it will look good enough for me. but i mean might as well make it look decent while things get squared away. might as well see if you can get comptech headers too. if you know a body shop and or mechanic this is where they will come in handy...

Accident..

Was she on her cell when she hit you ? Toyota drivers here are usually yentas on their cell phones ordering dinner for their brats . Seen that happen a lot out here, they are either in Toyotas,Lexuses, volvos, or the SUV equivalents. My car almost got nailed a couple months ago in a parking lot. The yenta was on her cell not paying attention, had to yell at her.....

To say that Toyota drivers are more likely to be on phones and cause accidents is nothing less than totally absurd. Please, be realistic.

In other news, it appears CL Platano was the meat in a Camry sandwich.

I am, I live in what is called a "bedroom" suburb. The yentas out here drive the cars I mentioned. One of them run me off the road when I was cycling. when I drive I give them a wideeee berth.. . Things are a lot different down south.

Make sure they rebend the muffler hanger properly. I'm sure you've read all the threads about people losing sleep over one muffler a bit lower than the other. Be as precise as you can when they do it. Also start looking at an aftermarket exhaust if they're gonna replace the mufflers.

Maybe even say "she broke my rear lower lip off, gimme a new one!"

Make sure you get everything checked out; not just the rear. Engine mounts is affected too. some of the problems will not show until the next dosen thousand miles.

I actually met with the body shop this morning and made him check the bumper, exhaust, trunk and check the front bumper and under the hood for any damage. The only thing I didnt like what he said was that he'll fix the muffler and if need to replace it. I'm gonna push for a new system all together. I'm not gonna do it till next month, I have too much going on this month to deal with the b.s. of body shops. The shop looks very credible, very modernized. I just wasnt thrilled about the exhaust comment and how he couldnt tell me how long it would take.
