They both look similar, except one is flat on top and the other has tapered sides on top. Neither one looks like the stock front.

Good thing that ya didn't buy "XLR8" solid mounts if ya expected them to appear like stock.
It's basically all about aligning up the mount's bolt holes to the car's subframe.

Strange, my DEA front mount (purchased from Amazon) looked exactly like the OEM front mount I removed.

(as an aside, it worked just like the BROKEN front mount I removed....wouldnt hold vacuum, straight out of the box!)

Thanks, I bought the set on Amazon and it didn't have a description like that, just pictures. I googled the part number and found at least three different styles, so it may look like OEM or a couple different ways.

How would I know if the vacuum is working on the mount?

With some of the E-bay cheapo knock-offs....ya never really know for sure what may be delivered to your door after the order is placed. Some are vac-assist, some aren't and some may even have a vac port mimicking the OEM stlye mount......but doesn't work. And there ya are !!! 5 for the price of 1.

The Vacuum Assist only Works at idle or coming to a stop! If it vibrates too much or more than stock in those scenarios = Vacuum isn't working..

If you are referring to testing the new mount before install, you need a hand operated vacuum pump (MityVac 3000, etc). Get the right size hose/adapters to plug into the vac port on the underside of the mount and put it under vacuum (5-10 psi should do)

Once under vacuum the gauge shouldnt move. If it does, the mount is leaking.

I suggest doing this test if you can. I just got new DEA mounts from Amazon and neither the front nor the rear hold any vacuum. The replacement front I got from Auto Zone held vacuum just fine.
