Unhappy Got Caught!

Today I ordered Comptech Headers, Sway Bars, Springs and Inspire Tails from Snook. I never imagined my wife would find out.

She came to me and asked if I was hiding something and of course my manly instinct told me to lie! Nevertheless, she found out and I have to admit, she was actually pretty cool about it.

Fellas, I mean married fellas, when ordering beware! My philosophy is that women and aftermarket parts don't mix. Damn.

I think most women including my girlfriend is like; why do you spend that much money on a car, it's just a car. But I think they just want you to spend the money on them, cause it isn't a waste of money that way, to them that is.

my 2 cents

Cool

Your not going to believe this one. I did a few mods on my wife's Accord, lowered 1" and wheels and tires. My wife thought I was nuts at first, then she loved all the positive comments she got. She said I could do whatever I wanted to the TL within reason (by the way, it's her car). She knows I won't pimp it out to much. I'll be ordering wheels and tires in about another 8 to 10k mikes on the stocker tires. I'm hoping to lower it before the end of the year with comptech springs from Tim. I guess I am just blessed in many ways with my better half.

I've been browsing this site nearly every nite since getting my 'TL. The wife always asks what is so interesting about this site and I give her the usual "never mind" answer. Well I get home from work tonite and she is browsing this site. Best yet she seen the wheels Tim sells and better yet she likes one of 'em! Looks like I may be buying wheels earlier than expected!!

Man, some of you dudes have it made. My wife doesn't even take care of her 1996 van very much. I will give her credit for changing the oil though. But it is full of parking lot dings and looks bad.

She can't undersand why anyone would buy stuff for their car. I can't understand why she needs all these "accessories".

Like someone else said, we'll never understand them!

even with my system, i would never open my trunk and play it at low volumes when she was there.

Boys....Take it from an old pro - You will never EVER fully understand them so don't even try!

However, here is some valuable info which may help you cope:

HOW TO SPEAK OF A WOMAN AND BE POLITICALLY CORRECT
She is not a BABE or a CHICK - She is a BREASTED AMERICAN.
She is not a SCREAMER or MOANER - She is VOCALLY APPRECIATIVE.
She is not EASY - She is HORIZONTALLY ACCESSIBLE.
She is not DUMB - She is a DETOUR OFF THE INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY.
She has not BEEN AROUND - She is a PREVIOUSLY ENJOYED COMPANION.
She is not an AIRHEAD - She is REALITY IMPAIRED.
She does not get DRUNK or TIPSY - She gets CHEMICALLY INCONVENIENCED.
She is not HORNY - She is SEXUALLY FOCUSED.
She does not have BREAST IMPLANTS - She is MEDICALLY ENHANCED.
She does not NAG YOU - She becomes VERBALLY REPETITIVE
She is not a SLUT - She is SEXUALLY EXTROVERTED.
She does not have MAJOR LEAGUE HOOTERS - She is PECTORALLY SUPERIOR.
She is not a TWO BIT WHORE - She is a LOW COST PROVIDER.

LOL! I always get caught. And it happens the same way AC stated earlier. She ask what did you buy? I say nothing, why? Then she proceeds to show all her evidence (boxes, invoices, credit card reciepts) and im like well um, ya know um, see i was...you get the point. She says i never buy anything for my daughter, but i buy things for my stupid car. My daughters wardrobe is bigger than mines and she only NINE months old! I take care of her car as if it was mine(she won't)and i pay most of the bills. And its not that i don't want to tell her but she always critizes me for buying "crap" for the car. But what can you do? Us men need to have a hobby or some type of outlet right?

my girlfriend loves aftermarket parts for cars. she especially likes my intake (think she just likes that it is loud). she always says she wishes her bmw 528 wasnt leased so she could put intake/exhaust and rims on it.
