Goodbye Acura TL... and Possibly AZINE

Well, as you all know my second tranny failed in my 03 TL. Unfortunatly, I will be getting her back as of tomorrow, and she will be up for sale. I was going to sell her last year due to the problem, but I didn't think it would have been such a great ordeal. Now, it is official. Thank you all for your kind respects and help when it was needed. I will hopefully try to stay within the Acura/Honda family, but not sure. Right now, I have my eyes out on an 06-08 TSX, 3 Series BMW, or a 2010 Toyota Corolla S... Yes, I know.. A huge downgrade, but what can I say? Corollas LAST haha

You do realize there are MANY on zine that are regulars that dont have acuras any more. There is a whole other world in ramblings. No need to leave Zine.

I almost bought a Corolla XR-S 1.8 twin cam 180hp 6sp back in 02 planning to add a TRD blower later on, but i bought an 02 Accord EX V6 instead. You can buy another car, but you don't have to say goodbye to Azine.

Haha. Okay guys. I guess I won't be leaving AZINE period no matter what car I own cause Azine is my second family .. But good news is that there is a low possibility for leaving the Acura/Honda family now. I went car shopping and man, each time I look at the TSX, I just want to keep looking for one for under 19K with below 35K miles on it... Takes time and patience to get the new car, and hopefully I will have her for the Annual Acura of Lynnwood meet that is coming up within the next month or so...

Just hurts that I'm going to have to say good bye to my first car.. the car which I got as a graduation gift, the car that I drove to prom, the car I got my first girlfriend whom i'm still with, and the first car i've had to baby and deal many problems with...

cars are like girlfriends,,besides the large money you pour into them for some times of pleasure,
there are plenty more out there,, to find out which fits perfect with you~

When an object or being is gone from your life- you retain the memory.
the aliens cant take that from you!!! that we know~

on the serious side:
post a WTB= Want To Buy ad in the Used Cars section--link at top, on page banner,
and ck it for what you want already there!

Imagine the car you want and it will appear for you
Look in the neighborhood at parking lot weekend car lots that pop up
and weekdays- parked outside work with a FS sign

After a month of searching high and low near and far- I found my baby on CL-
but,
it had been on display in a parking lot less than 2 miles from home... that I went past every day and couldnt see it! (busy driving)

Good Luck!!

My odyssey 2008 is having all kind of problems. 25k, tech said torque converter needs to be replaced. Brakes worn out in 25k and have to be replaced, rotors warpped as usual. Guess what, we are blessed with our engine mounts, 3 for ~300 bucks. the vcm on ody can crush the engine mount within 50k and it is 700 bucks each. Maybe our vendor should look at torque damper for ody. two accords, trannies failed at 90k and 130k. we are still honda/acura customers but I hope their tranny quality can hold up better. Check recent recalls on the car you plan to get. To the end the car that lasts and cost less to maintain is the winner, not the car that can go fast but can't go far.

She was only with you b/c of the car. So you might not want to get rid of the car.
Chicks dig the car hehehehe

You don't have to leave, I was on the toyota xrunner forum before here and I still give them updates on the my new car. Everyone likes to get updates on what their fellow man is doing to the new rides. And I would say get and 86 corolla but if you at least get the "S" we won't make fun of you....that much. The BMW 330xi might be more then 19k but well worth it TSX...well we know that'll work. But whatever you get make sure YOU'RE happy

i feel for you. my friend in college had the exact same car in the exact same color and we used to love getting a ride in it.

what's ironic is another friend of mine also had the 2G TL and his tranny failed as well. it was byebye car on the 3rd time.

I replaced my tranny for a second time too, but now it is strong and fast and I have no intention of getting rid of it (better not lol, just got springs/shocks and jdm bits)

I feel for ya on the car search though, before I decided to take our old TL off my dad's hand I had just looked around and purchased an X5 2007 with 6k miles on it. yeah, 6. I love the X5, but I couldn't see myself modding it, and since I like working on cars the TL was a godsend. It took me months to find the X5, I eventually found it at a dealership in CT, made the drive and picked it up. Watch it though, car payments are a bitch.

I dunno where you're located, but if you really do want an AE86, (I do, badly..**initial D**) there is a red one uber clean around me on clist for 6500 OBO....just saying you know?

glws though

Have you acquired a new car yet? I just got a 2010 Corolla S, yes a downgrade, but I think its worth it! No need to black out headlights, fog light retrofit, purchase the kit or spoiler, all it needs is some wheels, drop, HID's, tints, audio setup and you're good to go. Not to mention the gas mileage is GREAT!

No... Not yet. I'm still looking around. I test drove the 10' Corolla S a few more times, but i'm not sure yet. It's a great car though! Still have my eyes on the TSX. I found 2005 TSX Navi with 40K Miles on it. The color is what I was looking for too.. PWP! Going to test drive it tomorrow =) Plus, they are asking 17,500 for the car. I can probably go down to 16!
