ck the `Tier 1` gas list online- iirc conoco does meet it
chevron and shell meet tier 1 which contains more cleaners than off brand tier 2 gas brands

I have to admit i typically fill up where ever, especially when on the road (and never a issue) At home i typically fill up at the 76 station because its owned by a nice family and not some giant chain.

well all gas gets pumped through the same pipe line so it's all basicly the same, some have more additives then others but the basic gasoline is the same from brand to brand.

Gas itself should never give you prblems, the gunk that it leaves behind after time probably will...
I use Chevron 93, 9/10 times.

Never any bad gunk left behind here. Though a good thrashing from time to time, good oil and the occasional Seafoam help.

Exactly...Im not saying that I have gunk, but I am assuming that a daily driver that uses lower grade gas, probably accumulates a bunk of gunky stuff in the motor...

I Seafoam here and there, and use RP fully synthetic every 5000. I know I'm good to go.

For me i stay away from gas with Ethanol, Straight Unleaded only..BP or Most Phillip 66 carry them.

Ethanol-blend fuels will lower MPG in most engines; Fuel efficiency can decrease by 2-40%. Maintain your engine to provide the best possible fuel efficiency. (Inflate tires, keep tuned, etc.).
View more information on fuel efficiency and mpg of E-10 gas.

I use Chevron 93 gas 95% of the time. Wish we have BP here though.

you guys are nuts on the ethanol it's been in gas since the 80's and I still get 30mpg with a 10% blend which is pretty much the norm in 90% of the u.s.

MTBE added gas was banned a few years ago and e10 is the standard- if you can get mtbe gas your station is way behind the times

car makers agreed the engine will run on a max 10%,,maybe a little more Ethanol- so oil companies provided, the govt destroyed the corn market, the economy tumbled...

but MTBE was destroying groundwater...6 of one eh~
