type s question

ive searched so if this is already elsewhere im sorry i honestly tried.
my question is where does the type s get its extra hp over the base model?

different intake manifold, higher compression, more aggressive camshafts.

my type s engine is in back yard awaiting to be mated with a 6 speed to take out my crappy tl-p engine

i forgot to add that DC and i were talking bout it too, the Type-s has higher redline, but also has higher VTEC engagement.

The hp comes from the type s badge. The shift knob gives the car more rpm

on a funny note, when i was telling my mom that i was swapping a type s engine in my car cause it has more horsepower she's like "oh no, does that mean you are going to have worse gas mileage?" hahahaha

yea i should put a disclaimer next time to ignore the vtec info or just link the single post with the engine differences
