Getting a "squeal" from AC...

My ac is starting to make a high pitch squeal here and there... I know its the ac cause when i turn it off it goes away. Does this sound like a simple fix..i.e. new belt or have you guys found this to be a common bigger problem?? 03 TL Type-S 75K miles. THANKS.

Mine does this as well. I'm assuming that it is a belt.

Mine is in service today for the same thing as I had the same symptoms, found out it was the ac tensioner pulley. A good way to check is to taka a can of WD40 once you have found the tensioner pulley and spray it between the crack on the pulley. You may have to get a service manual to find out what Im talking about if you dont know. After I sprayed mine my car instantly stop making that crazy noise. Hope this helps....
