Getting ready for spring!

Got my TL mid-winter so i really didnt have any choice except to wait until springtime to begin the modding. First step that i am doing is a 50/50 black and clear tail light set up with matte black emblems and semi-debadge

Second step was to tint over the orange diffusers, and to tint the fog lights yellow. Plate is also offset to the right near the drivers side fog light, but you can't see it in any of these pics

Last thing that has been done is plasti-dipped wheels, these will be take off when it is nice enough to take the wheels off and do a Color-matched wheel with white lugs and center cap scheme. This was actual done yesterday, which is why neither the tail lights or the diffusers are tinted. Oh and the handles are also color matched with the door molding soon to follow.

FF1's are also coming for spring!! So i wont be a 4x4 anymore :P

Nice ride. I recommend you do all the critical service-related work as well. Intake cleaning, spark plugs, pcv valve, tranny drain & fill with DW-1, tranny filter change, perhaps the timing belt and related components, etc. Search for detailed info.

Understandable. I just hate tail light tint. I do a lot of night driving and really hate when people do that. It's ugly, not safe, and can get you screwed over if you get rear ended. I just never saw the appeal.

But looking forward to seeing what else you got in store. Maybe an already painted NBP wings west rear lip?

i like the fogs and plastidip wheels, but not the tails. i think you should've done a smoked vinyl cover instead.

if staying with tails, i say black out the headlights and fogs give it a knight rider vibe

Maybe it's just me but putting that tint over the sidemarker diffuser doesn't flow. I'd either replace your sidemarker bulbs with a chrome bulb that flashes amber, or break into your headlights and black them out.

I don't have a problem with the tail tint other than I would have went a little lighter on it. I agree on the side marker tint tho. I too plan on tinting my tails. How did you do yours? I think the wheels look a bit tacky as well. Could be the fact that they are the TL-P wheels also

Also, make sure that you cover up your license plate when posting pics.

I don't mind the look of the blacked out tails, but I wouldn't do it just for safety reasons. But I don't like the tint over the reflectors. Just doesn't flow. I say black out the headlights and if you wanna get rid of all the orange than get switchbacks.

Also, unrelated but 412KING, why do ppl cover theyre license plates? Like what is someone on the internet gonna do with my plate number that Joe Blow can't do if he sees my cars parked at mcdonalds? Just curious.

I don't know the reasoning behind it, just that the moderators and what not don't want that on here

Ppl Cover there plate for a number of reasons but mainly because its public information to retrieve someones registered address from the plate number. Joe Schmoe and jill dill can also do this when parked at Dunkin Donuts and see a nice car and would like to purchase the items on the vehicle with out compensating the owner
