Getting mp3 player to play in the car?
#2
Yup you can do it using Neo MP3.
My brother did it in the CL and it came out pretty good. The only problem I have with it is, the volume max out is 32 and is nowhere as loud as stock.
I would post the site for it but I dont know if I'm allowed to on here b/c they sell the product.

i recently found out that my 2002 headunit has a changer port so i think you can buy one of those third party adapters for alpine changers, the alpine cha-s634 mp3 changer, and the alpine ai-net-to-mbus convertor. in my head, i think this works. i am not going to do it because i will eventually swap out the headunit.
problems
- not being able to select discs individually, must listen sequentially
- not being able to jump to songs, must listen sequentially

Does this mean once I put in my CD's I can only listen from CD's 1-6 without even being able to change from CD 1 to like 3 or something?

So...can anyone give a definitive answer as to whether or not the Alpine MP3 changer solution will work on a 2002 TL/TL-S headunit? I've seen conflicting answers regarding this; supposedly, the Alpine solution will work on TL headunits that utilize a separate changer, but won't work if the headunit is the in-dash changer that the 2002 TL/TL-S comes with...
Thanks!

I thought that with the changer, you push the CD button twice and it will activate the changer. You will then be able to select the disc by the numbers 1-6 and select the songs with the + and - button.....at least that what I thought it will do, but I might be wrong.

I just bought a 10-Disk Sony MP3 CD Changer. I had the 10-Disk changer unit mounted in the back left side of the trunk. It has an AWESOME BLUE display unit which I mounted with some velcro directly beneath the AM/FM/CD buttons. I absolutely love it....And it also made my stock bose system sound 10 times better
