Hi. I've had my TL-Type S for two months. Everytime the gas light comes on and I fill up..it only needs about 14 gallons of gas. Is that right? Thanks!

 

When the gas light comes on, it is letting you know that you are low on gas, but not completely out. It has a reserve of a couple of gallons so that you are not totally stranded. Should be in the owner's manual if you want specifics.

our gas gauge shows empty when we have 2.5 to 3 gallons left.

 

This is correct about 3 gallons when light come on.
The TL unlike my other 1990 & 1994 ACCORDs low fuel light will come on & stay on untill refuel. In the other cars they would blink going up hill making a turn ect untill real low then they would stay on.
