I just read it. Not a great article. It seems that they don't quite like it, because it is perfect? They didn't like the styling which they make sound bland. They liked the engine, the performance and the chassis, just not the styling.

Perhaps the prefect/great statement was intended to convey that while Acura hit all the marks, the car lacks passion...

The Styling is one of the drawbacks of Acura but so what?
I like the TL with the spoiler and the price is right.
I DO NOT like the Type S's re-designed front.
I have posted this here and will not drag on about that.
Otherwise, Acura makes a terrific product and that's why people buy them.

FYI - I wrote the editor who penned the article to learn whether or not she had the scoop on the price she quoted. Here's her reply:
"Unfortunately, Acura has not set an official price for the TL-S yet. The 1999 3.2TL started at $28,000, so our best guesstimate for the 2002 model Type-S version will be around $30,000. Even if it comes in a couple grand more than that, it'd still be one of the best performance-per-dollar rides in its segment."
