When you buy a front bumper cover, is the lip supposed to come with it? Reason being I bought a new front bumper but the lip didn't come with it, and I just want to make sure I'm not being shafted.

 

Uh...lip as in the OEM kit?

 

On 99-01 bumper there is a small piece on the bottom of the bumper. Its about 1 inch or so thick. To me this is part of the bumper and should have been included. Look at picture below.

If that is the piece then I agree w/cma..you definately should have gotten that piece.

Well, I thought it should have came with the bumper also, but the guy at the bodyshop said it does come with it, he said it costs extra.

 

Hate to tell ya but it does not come with it. Not even hardware.

 

Shouldn't the guy just quoted him on the price with everything he needs, knowing that he gonna need the lip, hardware, ect..????

If your able to I would say F you and find a different shop.

 

stock bumper cover is unpainted and does not come with any lip. it is a separate part number as are clips, screws, hardware... thats how rape your wallet.

 

damn, that sucks. Oh well now I have an excuse to get the OEM body kit.

 

If they give u a reason, got for it
