What's so funny in that review? If you haven't bought the car yet, you can expect whatever that guy wrote. Ride is bad and engine is great. That's why I'm leaving the engine alone and upgarding my sways, shocks and springs.

 

didn't laugh at it, i bought one recently, but i dont think the ride is harsh

 

The review sounds like the author's first car review. How about this review. Written by a true pro. The car's a winner too.

If the ride is bad now then why would I want to lower it. It will be worst. Anybody know what are the best shocks to use when we lower this car.

 

The ride is not bad as in harsh. Had a Pontiac GT that had a stiff, but good ride. IMO, TL doesn't have that. It is too bouncy, just doesn't feel right w/ stock suspension.
New shocks (and springs) should take care of that though

 

This guy is just a ****. He slams the TL and the TL-S. You shouldn't expect 50,000 dollar quality from a 30,000 dollar car.

Then he continues to make the comment about "Till then looks like the best bet is a used 3 or, for less money but also less refinement (sometimes chassis imperfections are fun), a Nissan Maxima. " This **** is clearly and *******.

No I think it was a fair review. He just forgot to turn off his vibrator before getting into the TL-S .

 

The author for that epinions wrote this in his review of Type-S:
"I thought my Contour SE, with a very stiff suspension, rode poorly,...."

I just don't take his opinions seriously because he drives a Ford Contour and he doesn't own a TL.

 

He is full of bull crap. He should stick to his crappy American cars.....

 

That review is very old, and written with the bias of a crochety old man. For a person claiming to demand factual information in reviews he certainly shows a lack of it.

There may be several explanations to his review, though, one being that the dealer didn't deflate his tires from 40 PSI when his demo car came off the truck (and it was a very hot day).

Notice that most of his reviews concentrate on the negative aspects of the car, such as "Squeals like a pig" (02 Camry) in which he complained that the bottom-rung Camry LE can't take corners and have "flabby" seats during cornering .

Pay no attention to this guy. His reviews are all about what the cars should be (in his ideal little world), instead of what they are.

Read his reviews in Ben Stein's voice, I know it helps me understand them better.

I have no idea what that guy is talking about.

My previous car was a Ford Contour. My TL is MUCH MUCH BETTER than that POS Ford I used to have. The TL beats the Ford Contour in every way imagined. Gas mileage, comfort, ride quality, etc. Compared to my Ford, I have no complaints about my TL.

End of story.

 

DId u guys read that he said ACURA trying to made TL-S to be a BMW killer..what a A@@. i think ACURA never said it is a BMW killer..we r not IS.

 

Actually, he sounds like someone who would post here and whine about their problems!
