H&R sport spring alignment question...
H&R sport spring alignment question...
i just replaced the stock springs w/these sport springs. i am using the factory tire/rim and noticed that the right tire seems to be a little off. i read in another thread that an alignment is highly recommended and also that the specs would possibly change than that provided from factory.
does anyone have insight on this? i want to make sure my alignment is done right cause i need these tires to last at least a year.
anyone who installed these springs, what did you do for alignment? who did you go to do it? any probs? concerns? thanx

any time you change the suspension geometry you should get an alignment. this includes lowering.
the H&R springs give a bit of excessive rear camber. you can't do anything about it except get a camber correction kit. this is actually quite typical of hondas.
you should also switch your tires from left to right and vice versa to compensate for the excessive camber at about 15k miles.
take it to a reputable alignment shop...a lot of tire stores have the equipment but a lot of times the guy working the equipment is a moron.
i also prefer alignment shops that use plates instead of electronic equipment.

I had mine aligned at the same time as I had the springs installed. Ask the shop who installed your springs if they do alignments. If they don't, almost any good performance shop does them. Take your pick. Just make sure they are reputable.
BTW, what Jimster said!
