Found a cheap intake on ebay...will it work?

I'm a little hesitant as to the product that would apparently fit the "03 TL-S. The guy is asking 70USD for this intake, but it seems to be a no name brand...more or less a simple piping with the proper connectors.

here's a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...;category=38634

would you guys recommend I go with this one? I can get an AEM CAI with bypass valve for 200-210 USD including shipping to my door. I'm more leaning towards an AEM simply because they are more reputable a company than this one.

what do you guys think I should do? Keep in mind I want to do as much to my car as possible for the least amount of money since I don't have that much money to blow on my ride. If I can get the same results, and same HP gains from the no name brand one, then I'm not willing to pay an extra 130 USD for the AEM, but if you guys can justify the cost more with the AEM (warranty, reputation, etc.), then I will go with the AEM.

thanks guys.

but money is tight? I'm still considering going the AEM route though. I found a guy on Ebay that can sell the AEM CAI with shipping to canada for 180 USD...which is not a bad price if you think about it.

He's the cheapest I have yet to find...if anyone has any other source for cheaper, please let me know. Please keep in mind I need the part number 21-419 (Type S), and I will need it shipped to Canada.

thanks

ya I was thinking more along those lines too...

how will I get it installed for cheap though? I'm so retarded when it comes to taking **** apart on the car, plus I can't deal with sh*t going wrong if something does...

I might just go to woodbine acura to get it installed.

always remember: you get whaat you paid for. They are cheaper for a reason.

In terms of install, intake install is one of the easiest in engine mods. I'm going to install mine when it gets warmer. You are welcome tot see how I do it.

how about you do it for me

I'll pay you for your time Steve, but I would love to see how yours goes over....

Let me know if you're interested sometime in the Spring installing mine for me. Once you give me the go ahead, i will order my intake off ebay for 180 USD.

If not, then I will probably take the car to Woodbine acura and have them do it in less than an hour.

thanks steve.

Sorry to say.. but just because AEM puts their name on them doesn't make it any better. they still break and always crack on the mounts. They wont even replace them. Their customer service always suck.

Id definately go with the AEM, I went through 3 knockoff intakes before getting the AEM, which ended up costing almost the same. Do it the right way from the start
