Talking Forum's working with Netscape 4.76

Thank you Tim and Cuong!!

I've actually been having to work all day with no access to the forums from work. I just tried it again and here I am.

Thanks again.

NS4.x = crap
NS6 = crap

Atleast use Mozilla if you don't like MS.

Correct! If you are using Netscape you should seriously consider IE. It is faster and lighter than Netscape and processes pages 50% faster. Don't believe me, try it

At home I use IE, at work I don't have a choice so I'm stuck with Netscape.

ArN 2000 TL owes the credit, he fixed it

Now if we can just get the top header to show up in Netscape, we woud be all set...

Each thread takes forever to come up with Netscape 4.76. I have to upgrade to Netscape 6.01 to view this forum. In fact, 6.01 is a lot faster than 4.76.

Netscape licks a nut.
That is all.

I don't understand why people insist on using outdated web browsers. Right now when web standards (where they exist) are still gelling and evolving, the least a user can do is to upgrade his browser to better conform to the current standards. Do your part to help the web converge to better standards!

Very cool...

Now, if you could only get it to format properly with the KDE Konqueror browser

It might be the browser's fault , but the left nav bar is way too wide, and the forum messages are really skinny, thus making it womewhat hard to read.

Oh well, at least I can read them.

And on the topic of IE... I need to actually get work done on my computers, so windoze is not an option. Solaris or Linux is required.

I can't say enough: standards, standards, standards. For the love of Pete please use them. I want to be able to browse the web as easily on Windoze as I can on my future web-enabled toaster running a proprietary OS. And I would be able to, if everyone would just embrace standards as they emerge.

IE for Solaris??? Last time I tried it it only supported Solaris 2.6 and required 256MB to launch, and even then too like 3 minutes to start up... Bwahaha... Is there a version that works with Solaris 8 yet?
