Footwell lighting (LEDs) installed!

Got my white LEDs installed tonight! Decided to have them installed as footwell lighting (although they can be used anywhere on the interior/exterior since they are waterproof and unaffected by temperature). I had mine hooked up to the dome light so that they illuminate when you unlock the car or open the doors. Once the doors close, they fade out with the dome. By doing this, I had to give up the other 'features' of the lights which include using a switch to manually power them on/off, have them stay lit (while driving), or flicker to the music. I wanted to use them more as courtesy lights.

There are five separate LEDs enclosed in a flat round case (see pic) and come with eight of those 'cases' in a pack. Colours include blue, orange, green, red, or white.

Not such great pics, but check 'em out (and yes - the winter mats are in and ready to go!)

(Thanks DarkDJ)

Umm, I can't - but I'm sure the person who installed it can!

The LED cases themselves are only attached with a rod or strung by wire (have to get a closer look in daylight) - so I am able to adjust them manually to point at different angles. The cases come with screws and double-sided tape, so you can attach them however you want/wherever you want. The on/off/flicker switch is hidden on mine since it's useless to me while hardwired to the dome.

Another TL member got blue LEDs installed in the footwells too, but his were hardwired with the parking lights (from what I understand, that's how it's usually done so you can use all the 'features'). So he is able to turn the lights on and off while the car is on or have the lights flicker to the sound of the bass. I can't do any of that with how mine are set up.

Depends on how you wire it. I wired mine to the dome to use more as courtesy lights. So I cannot use the manual switch that it comes with to turn the lights on/off/flicker with bass from music. If you wire them up with the parking lights/ignition, you will be able to control all of the those functions with a switch. The latter is how Giovanni's are installed. I chose to hook mine up with the domes so they illuminate when i lock/unlock the car/open the door. I cannot turn mine on any other time. Giovanni can turn his on or off whenever he wants as long as the car is on.

AND YEP -- BRIGHT THEY ARE!

I used the super whites, while Giovanni's are blue.
