too bad... you are not able to add the foglight like the 01-03 stock one.
Two ways you can do...
1. add an aftermarket foglight such as PIAA.(around $200)
2. import a JDM part from Japan which comes with intergrated foglight.(Very costly!! $800 just for shipping and another $600 for the part)

here is what I did...

Here's mine, it's wired so I don't need to have parking or headlight on to use it. So I can use it a Daytime Running Lights. They are Hella Projector fogs. Bright as heck for such a little thing.

Nice man!! Love the brightness!! I was like yours before, fog on without parking light on. But since I sometimes forget to turn off the foglight, I afaird the bettary will be gone. Then, I listen to a guy here to connect the wire to parking light so that I don't have to worry whenever I leave my car with the lights on. Do you want to try it??

My fog goes off with ignition. The switch is wired to accessories slot #1. I dont have to worry about it killing my battery. I would never tape wires because it can unintentionally cause a short or blow out fuses.

You have three wires on the back of the switch that turns the fog lights on right? One goes to the relay, ones goes to the ground, ones goes to a confirm power source. You probably have that confirm wire tapped into the parking light lead. Instead of tapping it to the parking light lead. You just run that wire to the accessories slot #1 located behind the driver side fuse box. Crimpe a female connector and just plug it in. Since accessories slot #1 has no power when you take the key out, fogs will just go off automatically. PM me if you need more info.

Everyone needs to run the fog power sources directly from the battery. Don't misunderstand me. Any of the accessories slots can not handle the amp for the fogs. If you bought aftermarket fogs, it should have came with a harness and relay. The relay has 4 wires, one to the fog, one to the battery (with an inline fuse), one to the ground, and one to the on/off switch.

The on/off switch should have three wires, one is the one coming from the relay, one is the ground, and the important one that connects to a power source that most fogs markers want you to taps into the headlights. This will make the relay only draw power from the battery when this power source has power. So if this wire is tap into the headlight power source, no matter what the position of the fog on/off switch. It will go off with the headlight.

To make the fogs go on/off with ignition, you simply reroute this wire to the accessories slot #1 located behind the driver side fuse box. Since this slot has no power when you turn off your car, the relay will not power the fogs. Hence saving your battery but gives you the freedom to turn the fogs on without turning the parking or headlight. Be aware that having the fogs on by itself can be illegal in most places.

Paul (Songoku) has the same OEM 98-02 Accord 4door I-4 fogs as El Pana. I was going to go with that idea but projector fogs worked better for me and cost 1/2 as much.

I wish we had fog holes, The holes on the sides have no mounting brackets or any place that would be easy to mount the fogs. I was looking at putting the fogs in there but I couldn't think of any place to mount them. I seen some people use metal brackets from hardware stores and such but these metal cast projectors fogs are pretty heavy.

The hole is also set pretty far back..........I don't think it could product the kind of wide beam on the sides of the car. I know most people put in aux lights for the look but I really wanted a good working fog light to use in florida's down pours.

You can beat projectors..........it makes such a nice beam cut off. Highly recommended.

For the guys with aftermarket fogs, where are you guys placing the switch? Has anyone put in the OEM switch for aftermarket fogs........I know some1 has done that but he had the fogs installed by a shop.

The OEM switch has 5 wires..........1 is the ground, 1 goes to the power leads of the headlight, 1 goes to the parking light so it power the bulbs inside the switch when you turn the parking light on, 1 to the fog relay, and 1 to the dash light brightness controller. The first 4 are pretty simple hook ups, but the one wire to control the light dimming function got me stump. Anyone know what I can do for that wire?

Currently this is my setup. If anyone else have any other locations or better switch, please post some pics.

Here is the best set of fogs you can put on the TL. However, this is probably the most expensive setup for fogs...........You have to buy either Value or Inspire bumper and then the Inspire OEM fogs. All from Jap (even tho it was made in the US). This is ken's car.......it no longer exist in our world, may it R.I.P

I ordered the OEM switch(on the way) from Tim, after you said OEM has five wires, I'm just a bit worry where are the other two wires should go.
Right now, I has my switch here, just like your setup.

nice pictures people. had a question for yall, are the OEM 98-02 Accord 4door I-4 fogs a direct fitment or are there any neccessary modifications to either the bumper or fogs. Ohh, also do you need to cut down the metal frame bar behind the bumper to makes those OEM fogs fit? Thanks

Good question... it's almost a direct fit... The trick, at least with my set up, is placing them upside down... Yes, the fog kit is placed up side down, and the black plastic was build up with bondo, in order to have a custom fit... I used brackets to keep them in place, which means that they can be easyly removed. The bumper does not have to be modified.

Hope that helps!

Here's an old thread that'll answer all your questions.

Some of the pics don't show up anymore but the info is quite useful.

I got PIAA 510 ION crystal. They are fairly easy to install. The hardest part was to hack the bumper on the hole and trim a lil bit of the bumper support. No biggie. I wired it to an Accord OEM switch so it looks stock in the car.

Actually if you remember, PIAAs stock switch is always hot when the car is on. The off position is green and when the fogs are on is red. I did not wire to the dimmer since I really didnt care about it. However the illumination on the fog switch is on when the car turns on whether the fogs are on or not. Not a big deal to me tho.

I guess I don't need to have control of the dimming. How did you wire the wires to the switch tho? I was thinking I would find a harness with the fog switch, then slice off the harness leaving some part of the wires behind and connect the wires.

here is another idea, Eurolite, 2-1 in one light, the outer ring is made to resemble BMW.

lots of options of hooking up, like connecting the ring to the turning signal.

http://teknoking.photostep.com/14078481

the pix posted dont really do it justice, but they are bright as hell..

peace
