So last night as i was driving, i decided to take a corner hard and my fog light ballast came off ripping the wires from the one of the bulbs. i heard a clunking noise and i pulled over, to find my ballast on the streets. When i got home I tried to connect all the wires back together but that didn't work, so i switch ballast and that still didn't work. The ballast that fell off of my car still worked with the normal bulb. As I was working on how to fix the problem, by switching ballast and bulbs to each side, in the process my fog light harness stopped working as well. I plugged in my old fog light bulbs in and they didn't work. So to make sure that the fog light harnesses weren't working, I plugged the old fog light bulb into my other car's headlight and it did work. So anyone now how i might possibly fix my fog light harnesses? that's my main priority right now. I'm not really worried about the HIDs as much since they still have warranty on them and i can just buy some new bulbs for them.

 

trace the harness from the break in the wires to a secret place with live/hot wire getting to ground

where is this secret place? any specific fuses or relays in mind?

 

how did your ballast end up on the street? do you not have the plastic under the bumper area?

 

i do have the plastic but a portion of the splash guard ripped off when i was driving on the freeway, prior to the ballast being ripped off.
