You should be able to use it for any fog/driving light set that uses a relay to turn the lights on and off.You can pick up power etc. from the switches next to it.Jens

There are instructions for connecting the OEM switch to PIAA fogs - but maybe you can use that info for other fogs. But it works with PIAA's! Not sure if the instructions are in the FAQ section - if not I can post mr tl's diagram here.

You don't need the relay. You can connect the wires with $1 crimps from radio shack.

Like TLDaddy said above, look for Mr TL's diagram on the search function, you should find it there...

After the conversion, the links got screwy... I book marked it but the thread is gone. Anyway, here ya go...

You can directly hook (solder) the wires to the switch. Tranman actually figured it out.

"Looking from the switch on the side view, with the illumination on top (the way the switch goes in the slot), the top and bottom prongs go with black PIAA wire. The second from the top wire goes to white PIAA wire. The middle and the second from the bottom go to my red PIAA wire."

That's how I had mine wired and it works.

You really shouldn't solder wires directly to switch terminals. It's better to solder the end of the wire (so it won't fray) and then crimp a small "tube-shaped" crimp connector to the end of the wire. The connectors help to dissipate heat that runs thru the wire and can heat up the switch. I got some at Radio Shack for 50 cents and they fit the TL fog switch terminals perfectly.

BTW - here's that diagram!
