Fog Lens Cracked

Ok I'm finally goign to fix my fog lens next weekend and was going to go shopping and buy all the materials today. Can ne one give me suggestions on what type of silicone to use and also how to buy the plexi glass? I mean I know I just go to Home Depot and pick up a sheet, but since I dont have ne experience with Plexi Glass it would be helpful if someone can tell me what to look out for on the plexiglass sheet making it bad or good when chosing the sheet. Just dotn wanna get screwed.

My next question is i see some threads say Lexan and some threads say Plexi Glass... Im assuming they are the same thing... and if they aren't maybe someone can tell me the difference.

Thank You

Lexan is a hard plastic from what I understand, and it emulates the look and feel of glass, but again it's plastic.

Plexi glass is virtually a break/shatter proof glass. You can essentially throw a massive rock at a plexi glass window, and it will bounce off, which means it's basically guaranteed not to break. Whichever one you choose, will solve your cracked fog light problem for good.

here's a dumb question. Where do you buy Lexan and/or Plexi Glass? I have a cracked fog lens too.

Ok..I went to Home Depot and bought a Sheet of Lexan Plexi Glass... they sold it in different sizes.. I picked up a medium size for 8 bux .. although you only need the smaller size for 5 bux. I'm just giving myself extra room in case I F up.

Then went to the silicone aisle and bought a 3 dollar tube of GE SILICONE II. Its the one that you can hand squeeze and dont need a caulking gun. My project is sometime next week... so lets see what happens.
